In the Cigar World, Altadis is a multinational company that manufactures, provides, and distributes Tobacco, cigars, and cigarettes. When the Spanish and French monopoly of Tobacco merged, they give birth to the now known Altadis USA. One of the attractions of this company is the ownership of 50% of Habanos S.A. through its international holdings. This transaction gives them access to Cuban cigar brand names that otherwise would not be sold in the USA Territory. Cuban brand names that Altadis USA sells in the USA use non-Cuban Tobacco grow outside the Cuban Territory using cuban-seeds origins.
